Snape is an area of outstanding natural beauty, famous for its forest walks, salt marshes and wide estuaries, perfectly situated for exploring the Suffolk heritage coast on foot, cycle or by car, with the beautiful seaside towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold close by. The famous Snape Maltings is in easy walking distance.
In the centre of a small terrace of three situated on a private driveway, Squirrel Cottage is tucked away near the end of a quiet country lane. There is off road parking for one car, although extra parking can be made available if required. The cottage comfortably sleeps 4 and is heated by electric storage heaters supplemented with a multi-fuel burner.
A welcome basket is provided on arrival with fresh free-range eggs from our very own hens as well as some essentials to ensure you can make a hot drink and have a snack on arrival. We regret no smoking and no pets. Changeover day is Saturday. Weekends and short breaks subject to availability.
To help you explore the area without the car, two cycles can be made available with notice.

Croft Farm, Snape
Croft Farm provides self-catering accommodation in the heart of the Suffolk HeritageCoast. Situated in a very peaceful location the Farm is 15 minutes walk from the centre of Snape village and within one mile of the world renowned Snape Maltings Concert Hall. The two holiday cottages have been converted from traditional farm buildings to provide the perfect location for families and couples to enjoy the peaceful Suffolk countryside.
Guests are welcome to enjoy the farmland and we have provided a circular walk giving access to the peaceful landscape surrounding the River Fromus, a small waterway which meanders it's way to the River Alde. The farm tracks link with public footpaths, allowing access in all directions, across scenic countryside, to places of local interest such as the famous Snape Maltings and River Alde, or towards Aldeburgh via the Sailor’s Path.
Croft Farm caravan site is also a certified location for Caravan Club of Great Britain members only. We provide individual electrical hook-up and mains water supply on site for 5 caravans.
